Heather & David - The Old Church, Stoke Newington, London

One of the best things about photographing weddings is getting to know people along the way. I knew I was going to get on well with Heather and David when it took us over 40 minutes to actually talk about weddings at our first meeting. An engagement shoot, more meetings and one amazing wedding later, I was pretty gutted to have to say bye to these two.

But oh boy did they go out with a bang. Rain did not stop play, with a wonderful ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall followed by a cracking reception in The Old Church just next door. And we even found a tiny gap in the drizzle for them to take a moment for themselves and some chilled out portraits in Clissold Park. Special mention to the phenomenal caterers, Easy Gourmet who bribed me with delicious curry, and obliged me with seconds. Awesome.
