Street Photography: Hidden London

Street photography has a long tradition of documenting life in cities round the world - it's all about finding something beautiful, emotional or amusing hidden in the bustle. Little interactions between people, patterns in architecture and small details are everywhere in London, and normally go completely unnoticed or ignored as people rush from A to B.

Walking around London looking for these things lends a new perspective to the city. I love it when things work out and I get the shot I was looking for, but it's also enjoyable just to step back and actually LOOK at the city I live in.

The skills required for street photography are incredibly useful at weddings as well. Noticing details and moments, being ready all the time, moving unnoticed and taking photos without disturbing the scene are all things that I believe make me better equipped as a wedding photographer.
